An American woman calling herself Laurie said that she had a near-death experience by drowning while sailing, and met an angel in another dimension. The angel told her that her time had not yet come, and that she had come too soon. She still has to return to Earth to complete her mission.
Laurie shared her near-death experience in 1986 on the NDE Research Foundation's website .
Laurie wrote that in May of that year, she and her colleagues paddled the Rogue River in Oregon. That year the water level was higher than previous years and the current was faster.
Although she was wearing a life jacket, she was swept under the river by the strong current. Not only did she suck river water into her lungs, but she also got lost in the water. Although she could see the sky above, she couldn't breathe. Without oxygen, she felt herself getting weaker and weaker, and eventually could no longer struggle.
Laurie said she suddenly couldn't feel the burning pain from the water rushing into her lungs. Her surroundings began to change from black to white, and she felt like she was going through a tunnel at the speed of light. She felt warm and at peace when the pain had left her.
"Pure, unconditional love radiates to me from all directions. Love from an unknown source covers me like a warm blanket ," she said.
She mentioned that when she came out of the tunnel, she saw a room that appeared to be made up of white clouds, containing three creatures made up of shining crystals. Light passes through them and refracts the rainbow, like a glass prism. She is very afraid of them, and they seem to know it, turning into the angels she recognizes.
She said out of the three angels, one is taller than the other two. They all talk to her telepathically. They can read her mind. When she looked into their eyes, she felt the love radiating from them, as if she were the most precious creature God had created. They seemed familiar to her, and she didn't feel uncomfortable when she felt what they were doing.
The higher angel said to her: "You came too soon. It is not the time for you to be here. You must go back and finish your work on Earth. But since you are already here, we will give it to you. see a thing" .
She said that the angel was holding a large book, but the pages contained pictures instead of words. She has seen scenes from her life, from being reborn in her mother's womb to her falling into a river while rowing a boat. The pages are turned so fast, it's like a movie is being played. She immediately thought of all the things she had done for others, and all the things she had failed to do. She also saw a man whose face she did not know, whose face was not very clear, and many unborn children.
Then a smaller angel said to her: "I am Yahshael. I have been with you since time immemorial and I will follow you forever. You must turn back, and you must return for them. But first when you get back into your body, I'll show you something."
Immediately, Yahshael and her teleported to a huge golden field. She heard the best music and felt it move through her. As the wind blew against the golden trunks, she sensed all the life around her, the animals, the plants, and the power of nature. She is also one of them.
She said that when she looked up, she saw a giant ball of light casting the purest and warmest light around her, and felt God touch her skin. Although her life on earth was not as she had planned, she knew that God knew her and loved her.
Yahshael then takes her to a higher place. She felt herself soaring. She saw a huge waterfall without beginning or end. There is love and peace here. She felt loved ones passing by her, but she could not see them.
As Yahshael and she flew over the golden fields, she saw a huge tree with lots of golden leaves. When the wind blows those leaves, they fall off the branches and turn into many colorful birds. Next to that tree there is a lake, the water of which has the luster of liquid mercury, but when you look into it, you will see people on earth.
Yahshael then told her: "You should go back to Earth. You have to finish your work first". She felt sad knowing she had to leave that place. She cried and begged the angel to let her stay.
Yahshael said, "When the time comes, I will come to you. But now..." As soon as the angel finished speaking, her soul was pushed back into her body. She suddenly felt trapped in the water, and the pain in her chest returned. Not long after, she was rescued back to the boat.
Laurie concluded that through this near-death experience, she drew closer to God and learned that life is a series of choices. Your choices affect those around you because we are all connected.
She said that she knew that there was more space than Earth. She's here for a reason. "I have a purpose, and until I achieve it, I'll be here."
