Ray collapsed to the ground, exhausted, hoping that someone would come to their aid immediately. Ray recalled, at the time he thought he was dead.
Jaydon Ray has always been attracted to cars with pristine leather interiors, bright rims and shiny bodywork. The Indiana boy opened an auto cleaning shop, turning his passion into a business.
It was a day in August 2021 when Ray, his cousin, and a friend worked together on a red car. The boys finished all the repairs and decided to drive.
Ray was in the front passenger seat, his friend was driving, and his cousin was in the back. Three young men were traveling north of Sweetser, Indiana when the driver suddenly lost control of the vehicle.
Ray's friends hit the gas before their car crossed a bend and hit a pillar while traveling on a bumpy road. After rolling five times, the red car finally stopped at a nearby lawn.
Instead of going back to his workshop as planned, Ray struggled to get out of the overturned car. Ray fell to the ground trying to open his eyes, and successfully freed his cousin from the backseat.
However, Ray was unable to help his friend from the driver's seat. Ray collapsed to the ground, exhausted, hoping that someone would come to their aid immediately. Ray recalled, at the time he thought he was dead.
Several family members found the boys and called the rescue agency for assistance. Amber Lavengood, Ray's mother and a skilled nurse, should be aware of her son's condition.
Before hearing about the accident, Lavengood predicted that her son might be seriously injured, praying to God to give him the strength to recover. On the way to the accident site, she called her mother and asked her to pray for her grandson.
When Lavengood arrived, she discovered Ray lying on the ground while paramedics were rescuing Ray's friend from the overturned vehicle. She quickly ran to her son to see if he had any serious injuries.
Ray was okay, he said that Jesus saved him. Although Nurse Lavengood believes Ray's arm is injured, Ray insists it's only his back and neck that hurt. Ray's mother waited for the rescuers to take Ray to the nearest hospital.
Lavengood predicted, when doctors examined Ray at the hospital and performed tests, the results could be that Ray had serious injuries. In addition, she also discovered that Ray's cousin and friend had broken bones.
When Ray's test results shocked the doctors. Ray managed to get out of the car with a small cut on his arm after the terrifying collision.
Doctors sent Ray home that night, although Ray's mother thought what had happened was "unbelievable". Two weeks later, Ray recovered and returned to a normal life. Both Ray's friend and cousin made a full recovery.
Since Ray survived a five-round rollover with only minor injuries, his story makes us believe in the possibility of miracles. Ray may have passed away, but fate had other plans.
To this day, Ray swears that God saved him, and he is “grateful.” Today, he lives a slightly different life. “I pray more,” he said . Because you don't know what's going to happen."
