Monsignor Stephen Rossetti is a priest in the Diocese of Syracuse, associate professor of studies at Catholic University of America, and has been actively involved in exorcism ministry for the past 13 years. On the website catholicexorcism.org, he has an article titled "Exorcist Diary #214: Demons Claim A Priest", which means "Exorcist Diary #214: Demons possess a priest".
I showed one of our special hunches a photo of a man in casual clothes:
I said, "Do you know who this is?"
She asked back, “Who is that?”
I said, “I won't tell you. Do you know who this is?”
She said: “The man is covered with the devil. The demons are saying, 'We got him. He's ours'" Then I told her, "He's a priest."
We tried to help this priest. He was mentioned because of issues related to chastity. Although his problems were not illegal ones, they were clearly sinful and, in this case, possibly leading to eternal punishment. But he refused to admit the problem and did not confess his guilt. I fear for him.”
Blessed Concepcion Cabrera de Armida, or Conchita, was beatified by the Church this year. She was a mother of nine children and had frequent visions of talking to the Lord, often about the priesthood. In one such vision, Jesus said to her: “We do not pray enough for priests, thinking that they have overcome all temptations and passions.... My heart searches for souls. devote himself fervently, fervently and tirelessly, to praying for them day and night.”
At another time, the Lord spoke to her about priests whom He said were “black and unclean.” Jesus said, “They are souls that cost Me… deep and incomprehensible sufferings, because I fear losing them. In them, the devil mocks Me and he struggles to win Me over by snatching them from Me.”
Priests have special graces for protection from evil, but they are also special targets. At the Archangel Michael Center, we are happy to pray for the many priests who come to us for help. They also need your prayers.
