A Priest receives a horror email, full of profanities…

Monsignor Stephen Rossetti is a priest in the Diocese of Syracuse, associate professor of studies at Catholic University of America, and has been actively involved in exorcism ministry for the past 13 years. On the website catholicexorcism.org, he has an article titled “Exorcist Diary #207: An Ugly Email from Demons”, which means “Exorcism Diary #207: A hideous email from the devil”. We invite you and your brothers and sisters to follow the translation into Vietnamese through the presentation of Kim Thuy.

I received a very hideous email. It was short: five sentences and each sentence was full of profanities, exclamation points, nasty profanities, and curse words. I immediately blocked the sender.

I noticed that the email was sent in response to an email we sent to all of our subscribers. So this person must be on our mailing list. Then I went to the mailing list and found his address. I was going to remove him from this list.

But looking at that person's history with us, I see something odd. A few weeks ago, he seemed to have signed up for the mail. He has opened all subsequent emails from us and is clearly following our instructions. In fact, he just signed up for our next online exorcism. And then he went on a rampage and sent us a horrible email. Isn't it weird?!?

When I reviewed the email, I noticed it sounded a lot like the texts and emails I received from raging, accusing, violent, emotionally evil demons. Ahhh! Insight struck me: he was probably "manifesting", i.e., the demons had taken over and was very angry that he was going to participate in an exorcism. He may have a strong demonic presence.

Another, a woman possessed, recently told me that when she tried to pray with exorcism videos, the demons were "very angry and screaming". She found it painful. I suggest that she do what she can. Also, we had other people in the room with her as she prayed with the videos. Apparently, the devil is strongly influenced by hearing any priest pray exorcism prayers.

As I told everyone in the introduction, if the exorcism sessions become too painful, the person should stop. Furthermore, personal assistance in the room for those strongly possessed by demons is helpful and important. Fully possessed people are best served by face-to-face meetings with an exorcist, if possible. For those who are not possessed, such strong reactions are less likely.

So I didn't cancel the name of the person who sent this hideous email. Likely, he is really looking for release and the demons are resisting fiercely. Instead of unsubscribing from him, I read a prayer for him. May God give him the strength and perseverance to continue to seek God and on the sometimes long and difficult road of liberation.
