Please pray for Bishop Emeritus Teodoro Cruz Bacani, who suffered a stroke yesterday after receiving the Body and Blood of Christ and saying “The Body of Christ” during Mass, before preparing the parishioners for Catholic Communion. Novaliches Division, Philippines.
In a video from DWXI shared by former Senator JV Ejercito, Bacani is seen falling as he prepares for communion.
Bacani said his legs and knees were numb which could have caused him to collapse. The bishop still conducted the night Mass.
"I'm fine again," Bacani said in a text message. "Nothing serious at all."
“I am about to celebrate 56 years as a priest,” he added.
Meanwhile, Ejercito also expressed his best wishes for the director: "Let's pray for him."
