Father Ronie of Bulacan Diocese, Philippines, recounted the story of his first love on the wedding day of his ex-girlfriend.
- Have you wanted to be a priest since childhood?
– No, I wanted to be a Doctor when I was young.
– Oh so. What fate pushed Father to bring him to the seminary?
– That's this girl…haha…21 years ago we met. Then her parents decided to take her to America to live, struggling for many years without news, even though they promised each other all sorts of things. I am also tired of waiting. Then 10 years ago I asked God to give me a sign so I could make life decisions. And then the Lord also gave the sign, I freely and happily consecrated myself to Him.
– That's great!
- Well, now she's back and I'm presiding over her wedding again. Wow…haha… but I'm happy and happy for her family.
